A 23-year-old Whitehall resident was arrested on charges related to a series of car burglaries that occurred around March 18.

Police arrested the suspect at the suspect’s residence while executing a search warrant Thursday, March 23.

One of the items stolen was used in a purchase in the Grand Rapids area, leading to the suspect’s identification, according to Whitehall police. A search warrant was issued at the suspect’s residence, where some of the stolen property was recovered.

The suspect was taken into custody and warrants related to the thefts were issued by the prosecutors

The case is under investigation and police are looking into the suspect’s possible connection to other thefts. The suspect remains in the Muskegon County Jail.
