BELTON/TEMPLE, TEXAS – Parents have released footage of an eight-year-old Belton Independent School District student being handcuffed. School district officials hadn’t seen the police body-cam footage until KCEN showed it to a team of administrators investigating the incident Wednesday.
BISD officials said the district had not seen the video because the City of Temple would not give it to them and blocked them from seeing it.
“I’m deeply disappointed that the City of Temple hasn’t provided it directly to the district yet, even though we’ve requested it about two weeks ago,” said Kyle DeBeer, Communications Director for the Belton Independent School District.
