A man who showed up to the hospital with a serious head injury over the weekend has died.
The victim, identified by Grand Rapids Police as Julius Melvin Vinson, 25, died on Monday, April 3.
Police were called to Spectrum Health Butterworth just after 4 p.m. on Friday, March 31 because a man, later identified as Vinson, was being treated for a life-threatening head injury.
After investigating the assault, police determined the assault occurred on Vineland Avenue south of 28th Street between 3:30 and 4 a.m. Friday morning.
